Seed Co Malawi has Launched a New USSD Payment Platform, *2027#, for Seed Purchase and its Prepayment Programme.

Exciting News for Farmers!

From May 02nd, 2025 Seed Co Malawi has introduced a new mobile payment option for customer which uses USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) payment platform, *2027#! 📞 This innovative platform allows farmers to easily purchase seeds and access our prepayment program.

How it works:

1. Simply dial *2027# and follow the prompts to buy seeds
2. Get seeds on lay-by with installment period for up to 6 months
3. Get your seed delivered to you or directly collect from any of the 12 Seed Co own shops across the country.

The Prepayment program can be accessed also directly from Seed Co Shops countrywide. Customers can simply walk-in the Seed Co shops and open an account to lay-by their seeds. The prepayment program, which was launched two years ago, has seen remarkable growth, supporting farmers in accessing quality seeds. The Commercial Director, Dennis Mdzalimbo, says this new platform will further empower farmers, driving agricultural productivity and growth in Malawi.
