Description: A multi-purpose hybrid variety with highest level of Alternaria and rhizoctonia resistance. Good seedling vigour. Minimal bolting under extremely hot conditions.
Type: Erected and vigorous foliage . Adaptable for fresh market, pre-pack, freezing, juice and bunching market.
Plant population: 1 200 000 to 1 500 000 plants per hectare
Fruit: Hekla F1 is cylindrical with 2 to 4cm diameter and 18-20cm length. Intense orange colour and moderately smooth texture.
Average fruit (root) weight:
Maturity: Hekla needs 105- 110 days (summer), 110 – 135 days (winter) to reach maturity
Disease resistance:
High resistance: Alternaria and rhizoctonia
