Job Purpose

Seed Co Vegetables (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a highly self-motivated Sales Agronomist with demonstrated success, to join the company’s Commercial team. The opportunity is to co-ordinate and manage regional sales activities to achieve or exceed sales budget annually.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Craft a quarterly area operational sales and marketing plan that helps to meet the company’s goals within the framework of the marketing strategy. Implement the agreed plan.
  • Meet performance targets as agreed with Commercial Manager.
  • Keep up to date on Prime Seed Co products and general farming knowledge.
  • Liaise with breeders and other technical institutions (e.g. CIMMYT, ICRISAT and UNIVERSITIES to obtain such information).
  • Promotion and Selling of Prime Seed Co products to meet set targets in given regions.
  • Monitor and evaluate area market intelligence.
  • Handle all Prime Seed Co related activities in their respective areas (sales functions/events, customer service, complaints and training).

Qualifications and skills required

  • A Degree in Agronomy or any other related field.
  • At least four years of experience as an agronomist.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
