Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Group Marketing Director to lead our pan-African marketing strategy, drive brand growth, and enhance farmer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agribusiness marketing, digital transformation, and multi-country brand management.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and execute a group-wide marketing strategy to strengthen market leadership.
- Lead brand positioning, demand generation, and product commercialization across all markets.
- Oversee digital marketing, trade marketing, and farmer outreach programs.
- Manage PR, corporate communications, and stakeholder engagement (governments, NGOs, partners).
- Drive pricing strategies, campaign ROI, and market research for competitive advantage.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing marketing team across multiple countries.
- Ensure budget efficiency, performance tracking, and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications and skills required
Applicant must possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications &/or certifications an added advantage.
- 10+ years in senior marketing roles, preferably in agribusiness, FMCG, or seed/agrichemical industries.
- Proven experience in pan-African brand management and multi-channel marketing.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
- Expertise in digital transformation, CRM, and farmer-centric marketing.
