Job Summary

Seed Co Malawi Limited is inviting applications from interested candidates to fill the above position to report to the Vegetable Sales Lead.

Qualifications

Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Plant Science or related qualification.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in any middle management product selling position.

Major Activities Of The Job

The main responsibilities of Vegetable Agronomist include:

1. Planning and managing crop improvement and production
2. Designing and coordinating land development projects
3. Managing vegetable and fruit production operations
4. Designing field and environmental trials
5. Liaising and collaborating with Research Stations on new seed technologies, seed certification and monitoring environmental quality for crops.
6. Promoting sustainable agricultural practices
7. Conduct Field research and sample collection
8. Providing consultancy and managerial services
9. Sales and marketing of vegetable seeds
10. Conducting educational training for farmers

The ideal person who should have a clean drivers’ license should have the following attributes:

1. Agricultural Expertise
2. Analytical and problem-solving skills
3. Project Management skills
4. Communication and Reporting skills
5. Sales and Client Relations
