Seed Co Zambia Limited management team led by the Managing Director, Mrs Grace Tumeo Bwanali, paid a courtesy visit to Mukwashi Trust School on Monday, 16th March 2026, with the aim of interacting with the female pupils regarding menstrual health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the stated interaction, SeedCo donated 607 sanitary packs to Mukwashi Trust School as part of its Give to Gain Pad Drive. The donation formed part of the company\u2019s broader commitment to empowering young girls and ensuring that menstrual health does not become a barrier to education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Receiving the donation, Head Teacher Mrs Mulemba Sakuwaha expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the entire Mukwashi school community. She noted that the gesture came at an important time as communities across the world reflect on Women\u2019s Month under the theme \u201cRights, Justice, and Action for All Women and Girls.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Mrs Sakuwaha, access to sanitary products remains a challenge for many girls, and this often forces them to miss classes during their menstrual cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis donation goes beyond providing sanitary pads for our school-going children, as it restores pride and hope for many of our girls.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Seed Co Zambia Managing Director Mrs Grace Tumeo Bwanali encouraged the girls to remain confident and committed to their education. She reminded the learners that menstruation is a natural part of life and should never be a source of shame or embarrassment.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Mrs Bwanali emphasised that proper menstrual hygiene is essential not only for health but also for academic progress. She highlighted that some girls across Africa miss several days of school each month because they lack access to sanitary products. Such interruptions, she explained, gradually affect academic performance and confidence in the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She further encouraged the girls to openly discuss menstrual health with their parents, including their fathers, noting that breaking the silence around menstruation helps create supportive families and communities. Mrs. Bwanali was accompanied by senior members of the Seed Co management team being Tichaona Ravasingadi, Finance Director, and Nyambe Mubita, Human Resources & Administration Manager.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In a vote of thanks on behalf of the pupils at Mukwashi Trust School, Regina Banda expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that many girls face real challenges when they lack access to basic sanitary products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regina emphasised that the donation was far more than a simple gesture of kindness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
