Subject: Job Advertisement –Seed Sampling Supervisor (×1)

With reference to the above stated subject, Seed Co Zambia Limited wishes to fill the vacancy of Seed Sampling Supervisor to be based in Lusaka, Zambia. This position will report to the Quality Assurance & ISO Lead and shall be responsible for among other duties:

• Track checks for all incoming seeds to ensure standardization
• Sampling of seed for certification by statutory institutes
• Conducting defects and moisture content tests on delivered seed at warehouses and scouting for storage pests
• Inspection of processing machines to ensure they are clean before switching varieties
• Monitoring of storage conditions in the environment such as temperature, moisture and relative humidity
• Checking of weights, packaging and conformity to Seed Co standards of packaged seeds for distribution
• Generation of reports regarding the above stated activities on a monthly basis

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• A Diploma in Agriculture or related field
• Must be a member of the Agriculture Institute of Zambia
• Seed Inspectors Licence Certificate is a MUST
• Computer Skills – Microsoft Office Word & Excel Conversant
