Temperate Maize Breeding Head

Jean-Bruno began his plant breeding career as a Coffee geneticist in the Ivory Coast. He returned to France, where he took up a position as a wheat breeder for Secobra, before joining Limagrain in 1999. He then continued to breed wheat, first in France and then in the USA.

In 2016, he relocated to Bangkok, Thailand to lead the Limagrain Field Seed Research activity in Asia (South East Asia, India and China) working on Maize, Rice, Millet, Sunflower, Wheat and Barley.

In 2019, Jean-Bruno was appointed, Head of Research for Limagrain Africa, in addition to leading the Soybean breeding activities and Tropical Maize Germplasm coordination for Limagrain Field Seeds globally. Since November 2021, has been Head of Temperate Maize Research, overseeing Maize breeding for Limagrain Field Seeds in Europe, South Africa, Argentina, USA and China.

Jean-Bruno brings more than 25 years of experience in breeding and research management, across 4 continents and multiple crops.
