Reporting directly to the Managing Director the Commercial Manager will lead sales and marketing function, drive profitable growth, and strengthen the market position. This is a strategic role suited for a commercially astute professional with strong FMCG experience and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage sales operations to achieve budgeted revenue, volume, and profitability targets
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies, selling cycles, and go-to-market plans
- Plan and implement integrated marketing initiatives, including advertising and PR
- Build and manage strong customer and partner relationships, including farmers, distributors, and agencies
- Identify new market opportunities, including export markets, and drive expansion strategies
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to inform business decisions
- Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance of the commercial function
- Own and drive brand performance, market share growth, and competitive positioning
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams to deliver high performance

- Channel Expertise– Solid grasp of channel dynamics including incentives, burn-rate and relationship management

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field
- Membership with a relevant professional body
- Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Commercial
- At least 4 years at a senior management level
- Prior experience in FMCG is essential
